Amber Rose is recovering from breast reduction surgery and if these glowing, smiling Instagrams are proof of anything, it’s that she’s incredibly happy with the results. Rose has been flirting with the idea of breast reduction for a while now, and on January 18th, 2018 she went under the knife. Rose took to Instagram Stories to update her followers on the process.

“I’m still in the house Keds Anchor Chambray Sneakers efiXON2guR
,trying to relax and rest and recover,” Rose revealed in a series of Superga COTU Trainers grey/dark sage rTVSQmlmh
.

“Look how much smaller they are,” she shared with followers. “I really went down a lot. I don’t know if you guys know, but I was a 36H. I was really really big. I think now I might just be a D-cup, which is really small for me. I’ve been online shopping, getting cute little shirts, little strapless little things.”

In a video with her Adilette SlidesOriginals sR7XOn
Rose said she’s most looking forward to wearing spaghetti strap shirts again.

Rose contemplated the idea of breast reduction surgery over the summer and wondered aloud on Instagram if she should go through with it.

“I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year,” she wrote on Instagram back in July 2017 . “My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra. I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho…. any advice? Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars? And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples. Tell me about ur experiences.”

Of course, her decision was met with cries from the Reebok RIDGERIDE TRAIL 30 Walking trainers grey 1LcR9d
internet lamenting her decision to reduce her breast size. There were even comments from other women wondering what was “wrong” with her boobs to begin with. Clearly these confused commenters have never experienced the pain that accompanies having size-H breasts.

Honestly there was nothing wrong with Amber Rose's boobs I don't know why she had to reduce her cup size

We wish Rose a speedy recovery and are happy she feels at home in her body.

This idea can be generalised: most potential causes of disease can be viewed as producing effects that are undesired, unintended, and unexpected [ 9 ]. This becomes clear from classic success stories of epidemiologic research: e.g., before the links between smoking and lung cancer or asbestos and mesothelioma were known, people who exposed themselves to these risks were unaware of the consequences—which is why the risks could be investigated by observational studies.

The above reasoning should not lead to uncritical acceptance of all observational research about causes of diseases. A mental device to guide our judgement about new claims from observational research is to position the research on an “axis of haphazardness of exposure” ( Acorn Womens Moc Ragg Slipper Rd8fUO0
).

Figure 1. Axis of Haphazardness of Exposure

https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pmed.0050067.g001

At one side there is research on genetic effects. This is the closest that observational research can come to randomisation. At the other end of the axis there is research contrasting, for example, the mortality of vegetarians to non-vegetarians. That contrast is completely non-haphazard: vegetarians have different social backgrounds, different education, different life styles, and may have taken up the habit because they are health-conscious. The differences in (self) assignment will bias the comparison, and it is known in advance that the bias will be next to intractable in the analysis, since its various components cannot be known in sufficient detail. Therefore, an assessment of the effect of vegetarian diets needs randomised trials, e.g., to show whether vegetarian diets decrease blood pressure.

Most observational research hovers somewhere between the extremes. Sometimes an observational researcher is quite close to the quasirandom haphazardness of genetic exposures, for example, when studying adverse effects in selected groups of patients where the adverse effect is unpredictable [ 14 ]. When confronted with a new exposure that is not that close to ideal haphazardness, it is useful to ask oneself whether the most important confounders can be listed, can be measured fairly accurately, and can be controlled for. If the answer to these questions is positive, that will lead to greater credibility of the results. If negative, as in the vegetarian example, we may attach no credibility to the results despite any attempts at statistical correction for confounders.

Many scientists believe that results from observational research are less credible because of the problem of subgroups and multiplicity of analysis: multiple looks at data for associations that were not the original aims of the data collection.

This problem can be conceptualised on an “axis of multiplicity” ( Figure 2 ). At one extreme there are genome-wide analyses, where tens of thousands of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are investigated for disease associations. The prior probability that some grain of explanation will come from any individual SNP is slim, say, one in 100,000 [ 15 ]. At the other extreme, there are randomised trials about a single disease, a single therapy, and a single outcome. Randomised controlled trials are started under equipoise [ Maison Margiela Grey Paint Splatter Replica Sneakers X1AMLx2O
, adidas Trainers in iQatcRb
]: the prior odds that the therapy that is tested is worthwhile are 50–50, and multiplicity of analysis is strictly not allowed. Thus, the axis of multiplicity is at the same time an axis of prior belief: the prior belief that some factor will be a causal explanation for a condition or that some therapy or treatment will work [ 18 ].

Where can I find attendees?

Open the Attendees list to view all attendees. Open the Collaborate panel and select Attendees .

Not sure where to find the Collaborate pane l? Jump to Find Your Way Around.

At-a-glance you see:

Browse through the list of attendees or open More options at the top of the panel and select Search .

Point to an attendee to view more information, such as their network connection. Moderators can select Moderator controls next to an attendee's name to Kurt Geiger KG By Kurt Geiger Rochford Tassel Loafers ag28J
, mute them , or remove them .

If you are using keyboard navigation, press Tab from the top of the panel to find "Access list of attendees" . " Access list of attendees " is not visible unless the focus is on it. Press Spacebar to activate it. Moderators can now use Tab to move through the Moderator controls for each attendee.

Keep the Attendees panel open at all times

You can leave the Attendees panel open all the time. Chat with others and see everyone in the session at the same time. You can tell who is away, has their microphone on or is having network connection trouble. All while chatting and participating in the session.

You need to detach the Attendees panel to keep it open. There are two ways to do this:

The main stage adjusts so you can still see everything on it. Any video, content, whiteboard and application shared are moved to the left to make room for the panel.

Close the panel any time. Select More options at the top of the panel. Select Merge Panel .

Notification settings

Do you want to be notified when someone joins or leaves a session? How about when posts a chat message? Do you prefer an audio or visual notification?

Open the Collaborate panel and select My Settings . Select Notifications Settings .

By default all of the settings are turned on. These settings only turn on/off the notification banners and sounds.

If you turn these notifications off, you still see:

These are personal settings. Everyone sets their own notifications. Only moderators and presenters can set notifications for when someone raises their hand.

Moderators can mute individual attendees or everyone in a session. This includes attendees using the Blackboard app or the Blackboard Instructor app.
